15 years ago Ion Storm Austin released its debut title, Deus Ex, to critical acclaim and (eventually) commercial success. The game became a cult classic that influenced many budding game designers, and now you can watch three of its lead creators play and reminisce about their experiences developing it.

As part of an ongoing anniversary celebration, current Deus Ex franchise owner Square Enix arranged to get game director Warren Spector, assistant director Chris Norden and lead writer Sheldon Pacotti in a room with some cameras, a couch and a PC running the original Deus Ex.

The resulting hour or so of video is worth your time to watch, as the three game creators reflect on what it was like to make games in the '90s and share stories of cut features, production headaches and design breakthroughs.

Spector, Norden and Pacotti also recently contributed to our oral history of Deus Ex, where they share further details of its development.
