VR enthusiast Mike Alger attended Valve's Vive game jam in London over the weekend and captured video of attendees sharing lessons learned from the experience for fellow devs who couldn't make it.

Curious about what it's like to try and make games for the developer edition of Valve and HTC's Vive VR headset? So was motion designer and VR enthusiast Mike Alger, who attended Valve's Vive game jam in London over the weekend and captured video of attendees sharing lessons learned from the experience. 

The resulting footage he posted to YouTube (embedded above) features a handful of developers (like Bossa Studios' Tom Jackson and Triangular Pixels' Katie Goode) talking about the unique design opportunities (and limitations) of the Vive, which is designed to let players walk around in physical space and have their head and hands tracked by standalone "Lighthouse" motion sensors. 

The Vive made quite an impression on Gamasutra editor-in-chief Kris Graft when he spent some time with a prototype version at GDC earlier this year, who wrote about his experience and what it portends for the future of virtual reality game design.
