San Francisco will play host to XRDC later this month, and as you prepare to attend this premier AR/VR/MR innovation event we want to quickly highlight some standout sessions sponsored by Facebook on the XRDC Partners track!
Attend XRDC 2018 to learn about AR/VR/MR for games, entertainment, healthcare, enterprise training, education, automotive, and innovative use cases across industries.
Specifically, you should know that there are two intriguing and unique Facebook-sponsored talks at XRDC later this month, one dedicated to the company's Spark AR augmented reality camera platform and the other to its Quill VR illustration and animation tool.
In the sponsored "Intro to Facebook's Spark AR: Immersive Experience Workflows in Spark AR" XRDC session a Facebook representative will walk you through the skillset, challenges, and best practices involved in the creation of your first Spark AR effect.
The session will cover technical details along with helpful tips while demonstrating the workflow of a Spark AR effect from beginning to end. Attendees will leave this workshop ready to hit the ground running - one-step closer to creating, publishing and distributing AR experiences to the Facebook, Instagram and Messenger platforms' 1.5 billion daily users!
And in the aptly-titled "Rendering Quill Art on Oculus Quest" sponsored session you'll see how Quill can empower artists to create and animate 3D content in VR dramatically faster than traditional pipelines.
A Facebook representative will talk you through the performance considerations and optimizations for rendering complex Quill art on the standalone Oculus Quest (pictured), and set you up for success with your next VR project. If you have any interest in AR or VR, these are sessions you'll want to see during your time at the show!
XRDC is happening October 29th and 30th in San Francisco at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Now that registration is open, you’ll want to look over XRDC passes and prices and register early to get the best deal!
