Sony Japan has revealed the Japanese-specific list of PSone titles available for emulation on the PSP by using the PlayStation 3's download capabilities, as well as new information on the console’s free online services.
An information page
on the company’s Japanese website, as translated by consumer website GameSpot and others, lists free services provided by the console including a block-able friends list and an e-mail style message storage box for text and other file attachments.
Also mentioned is free voice and video chat and online gaming features including a matching service, lobbies, scoreboards and the previously demonstrated online shop. The online store will allow for the download of both free and paid-for demos and games, video files and extra game content - much in the style of Xbox Live Marketplace.
An initial list of PSone titles destined for the PSP (and later playable on the PS3, though there is no official ETA for this) were also given - with a promise of ten new titles per month for what the company has dubbed its Game Archives service.
