The creators of unofficial World of Warcraft legacy server Nostalrius have relaunched the project under the Elysium banner.

The unofficial server was shut down back in April after Blizzard threatened legal action, however the Nostalrius team pledged to revive the project if an official legacy server wasn't announced at Blizzcon.

Blizzcon came and went without so much as a whisper of an official legacy server. As a result, Nostalrius have made good on their promise to resurrect the server by handing their reverse engineered source code to fellow vanilla World of Warcraft project, Elysium.

It's unclear how Blizzard will react to the move, but for the time being Nostalrius players can once again relive the early days of World of Warcraft.
