Mobile phone games company I-play, publisher of games including 2Fast 2Furious, Maria Sharapova Tennis and Skipping Stone, has announced that CEO Brian Greasley has stepped down from his position at the company. Current COO David Gosen has subsequently been appointed acting chief executive, with immediate effect. In a very short statement, company representatives indicated that lead shareholders Apax and Argo had expressed their continuing commitment to I-play and their strong confidence in the mobile entertainment. Having recently bought British developer Ditto Studios, there has been no obvious signs of trouble at the company, and no specific reason was given for Greasley's departure. Greasley has been at the company (which was previously known as Digital Bridges) for four years and was thanked by the board for its work during that time. David Gosen was previously managing director at Nintendo of Europe, before leaving the Japanese giant for the then Digital Bridges in June of last year.
