The Marvel's Spider-Man series, which includes the original Marvel's Spider-Man game as well as its follow-up Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, has officially sold over 33 million copies worldwide.

That sales milestone comes ahead of both games' recently announced launch on PC, meaning all 33 million copies came from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 purchases. Sony Interactive Entertainment shared the figure in a blog post covering that PC announcement, published alongside its latest State of Play presentation which covered the PC announcement as well as some upcoming PSVR2 projects.

While flagship PlayStation games on PC may have seemed like a longshot years ago, expanding franchises like Marvel's Spider-Man to PC and even mobile is listed as one of PlayStation's biggest growth opportunities in the next few years, alongside an expansion of its live game portfolio.
