New Jersey-based developer and publisher Majesco announced Go Play, a new branding label for the company's family-friendly Wii Games emphasizing motion-based controls.
Majesco announced three titles for the label --
Go Play Lumberjax, Go Play City Sports, and
Go Play Circus Star -- all of which include support for the Wii Balance Board accessory.
Go Play Lumberjax will introduce the new branding in late spring, and includes lumberjack-related activities such as choping, climbing, and sawing.
Go Play City Sports will follow with a summer release, promising six classic games played on "street courts" littered with manhole covers and parked cars. In the fall, Majesco will ship
Go Play Circus Star, which has players perform in over 15 circus-themed game.
The new label mirrors similar brand initiatives set up by other publishers, such as EA Sports's All-Play and Activision's Wee First (Free4All in the UK), both of which highlight games with features designed specifically for Nintendo's Wii console.
"The Go Play brand is intended to deliver on the promise of active, fun, family friendly game experiences," says Majesco's EVP of operations Gui Karyo. "Our first three products intermix every day activities with imagination to define an overarching label that means 'motion-based fun for everyone.'"
