This week's GameFly video game rental charts for North America, specifically relating to games rented via the games-by-mail service for the week ending September 12, show popularity over multiple game formats.
It's easy come, easy go for the GameCube as last week's all-format No. 1,
Mario Superstar Baseball slips down to No. 3 on the cross-platform charts this week. The new reigning champion is
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown, which just debuted at retail. Meanwhile,
Darkwatch has hung on to its No. 2 spot amid the shakeups.
Xbox-owning shooter fans did their part to propel
Rainbow Six: Lockdown to the top, as the title is also this week's No. 1 rental on the Xbox-only charts. No. 2 is, again,
Darkwatch, while
Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction slips one place down to No. 3. Somewhat interesting is the evidence that the GameFly charts are largely propelled by Xbox rentals; despite
Radiata Stories debuting at No. 1 on the PlayStation 2 charts, it only shows up fifth on the all-format charts. No. 2 on PlayStation 2 is
God of War, and
Rainbow Six: Lockdown pops up again at No. 3.
Despite its slip on the all-format rankings,
Mario Superstar Baseball is still the No. 1 game on the GameCube charts.
Geist has returned from the dead to shoot back up to No. 2, and
WWE Day of Reckoning rounds out the GameCube's rather diverse top three.
The Game Boy Advance charts saw the least amount of change this week, as the lineup is exactly the same as a week ago:
Dragon Ball GT: Transformation,
Pokémon Emerald, and
Zelda: The Minish Cap. The week's PSP charts are equally sluggish:
Namco Museum Battle Collection,
Death Jr., and
Coded Arms proceeding in the same order as before.
The week's Nintendo DS charts prove that every dog has its day, even the Chihuahua, as
Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends rises up to the No. 1 spot.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike goes back to No. 2, as
Nintendogs: Lab and Friends fetches the third position.
