Electronic Arts, the current largest games publisher in the world in terms of revenue, has announced its slate of mobile game titles for the remainder of 2005 at the CTIA IT Wireless and Entertainment show in San Francisco, CA. The new announcements draw from both Pogo.com's casual web games and EA's existing stable of console franchises. Giving a CTIA keynote, General Manager of EA Mobile John Batter commented of EA's slate: "The growth of mobile entertainment hinges on our ability to deliver meaningful communities and unforgettable experiences. At EA, our focus is to drive the medium forward by bringing our franchises to market in a way that resonates with the unique play patterns of the mobile consumer." In addition to the already-announced Need for Speed Underground 2, Need for Speed Most Wanted, NBA Live 06, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, Madden NFL 06, The Sims 2, Poppit!, Turbo 21, and Tri-Peaks Software, EA announced mobile versions of Harvest Mania, Word Whomp, World Class Solitaire, Squelchies, FIFA Street, Def Jam, and Sim City, bringing a decidely more casual bent to a previously console-converted line-up.
