Games for Change has announced the finalists in the running for awards at its 14th annual Games for Change Festival. Both the awards program and the festival itself seek to highlight games that channel and advocate for social impact and change.
This year, 11 titles have been nominated in four different categories, with Minecraft: Education Edition netting nominations for both Best Gameplay and Most Significant Impact.
Additionally, each of the 11 games is in the running for the Game of the Year award, which itself highlights a game that best exemplifies all four of the award categories.
This year’s nominees are as follows:
Most Significant Impact:
Best Learning Game:
- 1979 Revolution: Black Friday
- Dragonbox BIG Numbers
- At Play in the Cosmos
Winners for each category are set to be revealed at the Games for Change Festival in New York from July 31 to August 3.
