As Kickstarter hits $1 billion in pledges since it launched in 2009, the company today revealed some interesting statistics on which days on the most popular for backers.
According to Kickstarter, Wednesday is the day of the week that sees the most pledges, while the 13th of each month is most popular. This may well mean that launching your Kickstarter on a Wednesday could prove a good idea -- although it's worth remembering that everyone else now has this information as well!
It's interesting to note that of the $1 billion in pledges, more than half of that was pledged just in the last 12 months alone, clearly showing that Kickstarter is more popular than it has ever been.
And around $215.8 million of that was from video game projects -- games are the most popular projects on Kickstarter, with Film and Video coming in second with $197.4 million in pledges.
