That's something Capcom has grappled with while trying to localize its hit Monster Hunter games for Western audiences.
At GDC 2016, Capcom's Andrew Alfonso spoke to how Capcom's localization directors try to overcome a variety of challenges to bring high-quality games to North America and Europe, using the localization of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as a guiding example.
