Back in March 2013, Unity said it was bringing its popular game development tool to all current PlayStation consoles, including the PS Vita handheld. Today the company followed through with this promise. PS Vita deployment for the Unity engine is now here, and Unity developers with a licensed developer agreement from Sony Computer Entertainment are now able to deploy their games for the Vita hardware. Unity can also make use of the Vita's motion sensors, front and rear cameras, dual analog sticks, and rear touch pad -- plus, you can integrate Vita trophies, friends and multiplayer match-making into your Unity game via the PS Vita dev kit. Unity notes that Stick it to the Man, a Unity-based game from development studio Zoink!, has already been released for the PS Vita late last year, acting as a trial for the Vita version of the engine. More information can be found on the Unity blog.
