Apple's latest U.S. App Store game charts by revenue see Words With Friends and Texas Poker earning top iPhone and iPod Touch sales, while Infinity Blade emerges as a big sellers on the iPad.

Every week, sister iOS gaming site FingerGaming rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store, and this chart is now available on Gamasutra. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Words With Friends and Texas Poker earning top iPhone and iPod Touch sales, while Infinity Blade and Atari's Greatest Hits emerge as big sellers on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 games sales chart, which is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone and iPod Touch titles are: 1. Tap Zoo (Free) 2. Angry Birds Rio ($0.99) 3. Words With Friends ($2.99) 4. Angry Birds ($0.99) 5. Texas Poker (Free) 6. Zynga Poker (Free) 7. Smurfs' Village (Free) 8. Tiny Wings ($0.99) 9. Zombie Farm (Free) 10. Atari's Greatest Hits (Free) Pocket Gems continue to lead the iPhone's top-grossing games chart with its microtransaction-supported management sim Tap Zoo. Angry Birds Rio follows at second, while NewToy's Words With Friends overtakes Angry Birds for third place. Competing free-to-play poker apps from Kamagames and Zynga occupy fifth and sixth place this week, as the retro compilation Atari's Greatest Hits enters the charts behind Zombie Farm at tenth. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad games: 1. Angry Birds Rio HD ($2.99) 2. Atari's Greatest Hits (Free) 3. Smurfs' Village (Free) 4. Angry Birds HD ($4.99) 5. We Rule Quests for iPad (Free) 6. Texas Poker (Free) Atari's Greatest Hits proves to be even more popular on the iPad than it is on the iPhone this week, trailing Angry Birds Rio HD as the platform's second-highest grossing app. Smurfs' Village, Angry Birds HD continue to report steady sales, while Chair's Infinity Blade outsells Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 at sixth place.
