LittleBigPlanet 3 and Snake Pass developer Sumo Digital has made a handful of notable hires and announced expansions for both of its UK-based studios.
Both the new staff additions and the duo of coming physical studio expansions bode well for the UK-based developer, who is rumored to be readying for a £150 million ($198 million) IPO as we speak.
Those new hires include David Wilton who joins as the Group CFO, as well as Portfolio Director Gary Dunn, Sr. Development Director Jim Woods, Development Director Scott Kirkland, and Studio Design Director Martin Connor. Additionally, Sumo Digital co-founder Paul Porter has taken on the role of Managing Director.
Alongside those new additions comes word that Sumo also has plans to grow both of its UK-based development studios. The company has plans to expand the premises of both the Nottingham and Sheffield operations to accommodate “additional state of the art development facilities”.
