Game developers Teddy Diefenbach and Renaud Bédard announced today that they'll be joining Square Enix Montreal to embark on a new project.

What's chiefly notable here is that Diefenbach and Bedard have each had a hand in a recent high-profile indie game: Bédard was the programmer on Polytron's Fez and has spent time at Capybara Games working on Below, while Diefenbach worked as a designer and coder on Heart Machine's recently-released Hyper Light Drifter.

The pair are expected to leave their respective studios to join Square Enix Montreal in the near future. The studio, which most recently released the award-winning mobile game Lara Croft Go, took to Twitter today to welcome them publicly.
