Sony president Kaz Hirai heckled at annual shareholder meeting

Despite Sony's shareholders not exactly being the happiest bunch right now, they still voted to keep chief executive Kazuo Hirai and other top executives this week. Hirai was named Sony president back in 2012, and has come under plenty of fire as his company continues to make heavy losses, with no upside on the horizon any time soon. At a shareholders meeting this week, and as reported by Associated Press, attendees heckled Hirai to the point that he had to ask them to keep quiet. Yet shareholders still voted to keep him on, and the president promised that he will fix the company's fiscal issues this year once and for all, and apologized for not acting quickly enough. Notably, only 4,662 shareholders turned up to the annual meeting, down from the attendance of 10,693 people last year.
