The handheld was previously given a $349 price tag, putting it in the same pricing range as the deluxe version of the Nintendo Wii U.
However, Nvidia says that after talking with players, it has decided to chop that price down to $299. Those people who have already pre-ordered the system will receive it for this cut-price too.
