As part of its financial results briefing for the last fiscal year, Nintendo has released lifetime sales figures for a number of its high-profile 3DS, DS and Wii games.
Both
Super Mario 3D Land and
Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS have seen sales of over 5 million each, with 5.84 million and 5.24 million respectively, while the 3DS remake of
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has sold 2.61 million copies worldwide to date.
In terms of Nintendo DS games,
Pokemon Black and White have sales of 14.71 million combined, while
New Super Mario Bros. has seen sales of 29.09 million. Meanwhile,
Mario Kart DS has seen lifetime sales of 22.57 million worldwide.
As for the Nintendo Wii,
Wii Sports has now been purchased 79.6 million times (although it's notable that the game comes bundled with the console in many cases).
Wii Sports Resort has sold 30.14 million units worldwide, while
Mario Kart Wii has seen sales of 32.44 million.
Nintendo also noted that the Wii Balance Board, bundled with copies of
Wii Fit and
Wii Fit Plus, has seen sales of nearly 37 million worldwide.
