Newsbrief: Telltale Games has landed yet another partnership with a major property -- this time with Mojang's
Minecraft.
Dubbed
Minecraft: Story Mode, the game will get the Telltale episodic adventure game treatment seen in narrative-driven games such as
The Walking Dead,
The Wolf Among Us,
Game of Thrones and
Tales from the Borderlands.
Mojang, which was recently purchased by Microsoft for $2.5 billion, said it is collaborating with Telltale and community members in order "to make Minecraft: Story Mode as Minecrafty as possible."
The game is slated for sometime next year for PlayStation and Xbox consoles (Mojang did not specify which generation), PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
