New data released by analytics marketing outfit deltaDNA, sent to TouchArcade, shows that men and women have very different video game habits on mobile.
Broadly speaking, the research shows that men dedicate more time to action and strategy games, while women prefer those releases that fall under the puzzle and social casino banners.
Digging deeper, it seems men specifically enjoy playing first-person shooters, RPGs, fantasy sports, poker, and builder-style games. Women, on the other hand, are more partial to match three, social slot, and hidden object titles.
Infinite runners are the only game to appeal equally to both men and women.
The biggest splits occur in the fantasy sports, first-person shooter, and hidden object categories, with the tables below highlighting that FPS and fantasy sports players are 90 and 92 percent male, respectively.
Women, however, make up 89 and 78 percent of hidden object and match three players.
