Blizzard Entertainment has entered into an agreement with Thailand-based online game distributor AsiaSoft, that will see a number of the behemoth's biggest titles distributed in various Asian countries.
The agreement includes big name titles such as the
Diablo series, including upcoming
Diablo III, and the
Warcraft and
Starcraft franchises.
Blizzard's popular MMO
World of Warcraft will also be distributed by AsiaSoft, along with its three expansion packs.
AsiaSoft will make these titles available in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, although the company did not indicate when the first games will be available.
Paul Sams, chief operating officer at Blizzard, said of the move, "One of our top priorities is ensuring that our games are easily accessible to players all around the world."
"We are confident that as a leading online game services provider in Southeast Asia, Asiasoft will help us reach many new players in this growing region."
AsiaSoft chairman Sherman Tan added, "Blizzard Entertainment is well-known for the blockbuster entertainment experiences that they consistently deliver, and we are honored to have acquired the distribution rights for their games in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore."
