Newsbrief: Microsoft will launch the PC version of its Kinect 2.0 hardware later this month, which will enable Windows PC game developers to build and release games for the voice and gesture device. Kinect for Windows v2 will launch on July 15 and cost $199 -- you can currently preorder the device from the official Microsoft Store. Of course, Microsoft recently decided to make Kinect non-mandatory with the Xbox One console. Notably, the price difference between the Xbox One and the Xbox One bundled with a Kinect is only $100, half of what this PC version costs.
