Indie Royale has revealed that its latest PC gaming bundle, the 'All-Charity Pack', raised over $25,000 for charities hand-picked by independent developers.
The bundle's generous developers each hand-picked a charity that a share of proceeds would be donated to, with
Osmos developer Hemisphere Games choosing
UNICEF's Haiti aid, and
Blueberry Garden creator Erik Svedang picking the vital human rights work from
Amnesty International
In addition, Die Gute Fabrik, the creators of
B.U.T.T.O.N., picked free speech and privacy advocacy from the
EFF, and Wadjet Eye Games, makers of
The Shivah, chose the global poverty programs of
ActionAid.
Also donating their music to the bundle if a certain amount was pledged were Jake Kaufman, creator of '
FX4', a virtuoso NES-style jam from the
Shantae and
Retro City Rampage composer, as well as
Fez soundtrack creator Disasterpeace with his acclaimed 2008 concept album '
Level', and
Super Time Force composer 6955 with the
'IN1ep'.

Desura, also waived all fees related to the bundle.
This meant that a total of $25,529.68 (after credit card/PayPal fees) was raised for the four charities, with some generous gamers giving as much as $200 to these good causes.
