Taking place immediately after the close of GDC Europe, this limited-capacity event will be held on Wednesday, August, 5th, the first day of gamescom. Prominent leaders from the video game industry and other areas of tech will come together to speak, network and share their unique experiences.
The first annual Women in Tech Day speaker line-up is quite diverse, featuring German Parliamentary State Secretary (and enthusiastic game player) Dorothee Bär, Tanya Woods from ESA Canada, and Mareike Ottrand of Studio Fizbin (The Inner World), with more to be confirmed at a later date.
This Women in Tech Day is a new event made possible by the collaboration of gamescom, GDC Europe, and Germany's Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). Those who attend will gain access to special presentations, a workshop session, lunch, and a pass to gamescom.
Game developers, GDC Europe officials welcome you to take part in this excellent opportunity for networking and inspiration. To apply to attend, just click here or send an e-mail to [email protected].
Please understand that the Women in Tech Day is an invite-only event. After your register your interest in attending, you can expect to receive confirmation and further details via email.
Of course, GDC Europe 2015 (which runs August 3rd and 4th in Cologne, Germany) will also offer business and matchmaking opportunities to all attendees with over 70 expert sessions, a developer-focused Expo Floor area and networking events throughout the show.
