Newsbrief: In an effort to help soldiers obtain civilian employment, the Florida National Guard has implemented a new program that educates and teaches participants via a specialized game-like social platform. The program, known as Operation KickStart, provides soldiers with mentors and coaches that teach them various ways to begin a successful career. Meanwhile, the soldiers keep track of their progress with a social tool that lets them compete with each other and earn points for each milestone they complete. Operation KickStart organizers say the program specifically targets a younger generation of soldiers that has grown up with games and technology. For more information on Operation KickStart, visit the program's official website.
