Newsbrief: Sony has unveiled two new smartphones in its Xperia series, Xperia P and Xperia U, which will be the first from the company to bear the Sony logo after the Sony Ericsson buyout earlier this month.
Sony completed its full acquisition of Xperia Play partner Sony Ericsson a couple of weeks ago, buying out Ericsson's remaining 50 percent stake in the joint venture for 1.05 billion euros ($1.5 billion) in cash.
This new pair of smartphones is part of the Xperia NXT series, and will both have access to the Sony Entertainment Network, providing them with gaming and video content.
