Newsbrief: Apple’s strong opening weekend sales for the new iPhone 6 indicate that iOS games will have a large potential audience for a long time to come.
Apple
said today it sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones in the three days since the September 19 launch. That’s a new record for iPhone sales, according to the company.
When iPhone 5 launched in 2012, it sold over 5 million units in its first three days of availability.
The new iPhone 6 models come with iOS 8, and among other hardware upgrades, sport faster processors as well as 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD screens.
