Casual game giant Big Fish today revealed a partnership with BlueStacks, which will allow Android game developers to bring their games to Big Fish's PC and Mac platform. Through BlueStacks' App Player and Cloud Connect applications, consumers can play Android games on PC and Mac devices. Utilizing this funtionality, Big Fish plans to add Android games to its already 4,000-strong PC game base. Android developers will now also be able to monetize their Android games and apps through the Big Fish platform. BlueStacks currently sees over 2 million unique visitors to its site each month, while games have been downloaded from the Big Fish platform 2 billion times since 2002. Rosen Sharma, CEO at BlueStacks, told Gamasutra that mobile games needn't stay on mobile. "It is crazy for them to be stuck on 4-inch screens," he added. "Pixel density on little phones is actually higher than it is on huge flatscreen TVs today." Both companies are hoping that mobile game developers will see this as an opportunity to make some extra money from their mobile games through a new outlet.
