Acclaim Entertainment co-founder and former CEO, Greg Fischbach, has established Accelerate Games, a new publisher with a focus on cultivating brands and building lasting franchises.

The company will specialize in publishing indie titles, and will offer a range of services including global publishing, distribution, and marketing support.

According to the Accelerate website, the nascent company will "only select a limited number of games to publish" so it can give each project its full attention.

"We understand independent studios have worked tirelessly over the course of years to build their games," reads the website, "and it is up to us to add value and continue the process through launch, live operations, sequels, franchises and beyond."

The company's first publishing deal will see it work with Signal Studios on the Toy Soldiers franchise, with the studio keen to introduce the series to new players on console and PC through its upcoming code-named 'Toy Soldiers HD' project.
