Electronic Arts has revealed release dates for the upcoming Starbreeze Studios-developed
Syndicate first-person shooter reboot.
EA announced at a Gamasutra-attended press conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday that the game will be released in North America on February 21, 2012, while it will see a release on February 24 in Europe. These dates were later clarified by an EA representative to Gamasutra.
The company also confirmed to Gamasutra that the PC version will be released at the same time as the console versions.
The Syndicate reboot was first announced by EA earlier this month, as the company said that it was reviving the classic franchise as a "brutal sci-fi first-person shooter experience."
EA also revealed at the press conference that Klei Entertainment's 2010 2D downloadable brawler
Shank has been given the greenlight for a sequel.
Syndicate developer Starbreeze Studios revealed earlier this month that
it is working on a new, as-of-yet unannounced IP with a top Swedish film director.
