Pokemon Sun and Moon has got off to a flying start in Japan, with the newest member of the Pocket Monsters family selling over 1.9 million units in three days.
Those first week sales figures come straight from Famitsu, and put the new release slightly behind Pokemon X and Y, which sold just under 2.1 million copies in Japan in its first week.
Still, that's hardly bad news, and the game is already well ahead of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which managed first week sales of 1.53 million.
It's also worth bearing in mind that Famitsu's numbers don't account for digital or eShop sales, so there's every chance it's closing down X and Y as we speak.
Nintendo has yet to comment on the game's performance, and it's unlikely we'll hear anything official until the 3DS title lands in Europe on November 23.
That said, the Japanese giant clearly has big expectations, having already confirmed Sun and Moon is the most "pre-sold" game in company history. It's been reported that Nintendo has shipped 10 million units to retailers to meet that huge demand.
