Mobile game developer Mobile Pie revealed today that it is the latest studio to benefit from Tapjoy's Android Fund, and will see its
My Star game released for Android through the scheme.
My Star, which sees players making musical wannabes into mega stars, was first released for iOS back in March.
Tapjoy will now cover the development costs of the Android version, while also providing marketing support. The Android version will feature Tapjoy's ad-funded payment system, allowing players to earn in-app currency for free.
The game will also be distributed via Tapjoy's ad network, in order to drive new user acquisition for Mobile Pie.

Tapjoy launched its Android Fund back in June, as a means of helping selected developers port their iOS games over to the Android platform.
Last month, it announced that Austin start-up
Digital Harmony Games was set to participate in the fund initiative.
