Newsbrief: Italian indie studio Ovosonico, creators of handmade puzzler, Murasaki Baby, has raised €1.44 million ($1.6 million USD) by partnering up with digital entertainment company, Digital Bros S.p.A.

The cash injection will allow the developer to target sustainable growth going forward, and will give the team "the right means" to pursue its vision of creating games that are "universal" in appeal.

"I was genuinely and positively surprised by the similarities of our goals and content strategies." said Massimo Guarini, Ovosonico's founder and CEO.

"Emotional games are a meaningful way for us to create something more universal and wordless, as we’re constantly trying to connect with a broader audience, not just gamers. Through this important partnership we believe we will have the right means to pursue our vision."
