Newsbrief: Marvel Heroes and Super Hero Squad Online developer Gazillion has been hit with layoffs, the company has confirmed.

Former Gazillion employee Michael Parks raised the alarm on Twitter earlier this week, and although Parks neglected to offer an exact number, he did reveal that "a lot" of Gazillion employees are now looking for work.

Chris Baker, Gazillion's PR manager, has since confirmed that the studio has "unfortunately parted ways with some truly excellent personnel".

"We wish them well in their future endeavors, and would recommend them to other employers in a heartbeat," added Baker, before assuring fans that Gazillion "remains very healthy."
