Larian Studios' Divinity: Original Sin 2 has passed 1 million lifetime sales, roughly doubling its sales in the span of two months.
Though the game only released back in September, Divinity: Original Sin 2 spent roughly a year in Early Access, so a third or so of its 1 million sales did occur during that period. Those early access sales, plus the additional 180,000 sold within mere days of its launch, first helped push the game over 500,000 sold in less than a week.
In a previous interview with Eurogamer, Larian Studios owner Swen Vincke noted that the original Divinity: Original Sin took two or three months to reach 500,000. Now, in that same span of time, the studio's sequel has managed to double that milestone by reaching 1 million sold in just over two months.
