Newsbrief: Disney has charted the closure of its toys-to-life franchise, Disney Infinity, revealing the game's online services will officially be switched off in 2017

The popular series will be phased out first on PC, iOS, and Android, and will no longer be available or playable on those platforms as of September 30, 2016.

Disney will then pull the plug on the Apple TV and Windows versions on March 3, 2017.

Console and PS Vita owners will be able to play the game post-shutdown, and any progress saved to consoles won't be affected by the absence of Infinity's online services.

The game will still be purchasable from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo's online stores, while all existing updates will also be avaiable for download.
