Allison Road scrapped after Team17 and Lilith end partnership

"After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17's Games label."

UK developer Lilith has shed a bit more light on why Allison Road - a horror title inspired by Hideo Kojima’s canceled Silent Hills demo - was thrown on the scrapheap

The studio initially took to Kickstarter to fund the game, but canceled its crowdfunding campaign when Worms creator Team17 stepped in as a publisher.

On June 5, a tweet posted by the Allison Road team revealed the game "had to be canceled," and now a brief Facebook post has offered more details, suggesting the decision to bin the game was mutual.

"After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17's Games label," said Lilith on Facebook.

"Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity.

"We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated."

We’ve reached out to Team17 to try and clarify why the publisher's partnership with Lilith broke down.
