Following the release of the PC version of
Alan Wake and the Xbox Live Arcade version of
Alan Wake's American Nightmare, developer Remedy has confirmed that the franchise has seen over 2 million units sold.
Oskari Hakkinen, Remedy's head of franchise development, told Gamasutra that this is units sold through, rather than shipped, and that this figure includes all Xbox and PC sales, both digital and retail.
Hakkinen added that
American Nightmare, which launched last month, has sold "exceptionally well on Xbox Live Arcade."
Remedy previously revealed that the PC version of
Alan Wake, released last month,
managed to recoup its development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours on sale.
