Oculus to recruit game developers, to work with John Carmack

According to a quote from CEO Brendan Iribe, "you'll see more and more game developers showing up" at the company over the coming months.
Newsbrief: Speaking to Engadget at CES, Oculus CEO Brendan Iribe has teased that the company will be ramping up its internal development efforts -- thanks to the fact that longtime Id developer John Carmack (pictured) has taken over as its CTO. "[...] his heart and soul and history certainly lies in the game-development side," Iribe told Engadget. "It's been John Carmack's philosophy -- you gotta eat your own dog food here, and develop internal content also." What is as yet unclear is if Oculus intends to develop games or simply internal tech demos. So far, it has cooperated with Epic Games, which delivered a new demo for CES that showcased the functions of its latest prototype headset. Either way, Iribe suggested that Oculus will begin recruiting game developers over the next "six to 12 months."
