The European game industry was recognized tonight at the Brighton, England-based conference; Development Legend went to Rare founders Tim and Chris Stamper, while Unity and others won, too.

Tonight in Brighton, England at the annual Develop conference, awards were handed out:  Rare founders Tim and Chris Stamper were officially recognized with the Development Legend award, while Creative Assembly's Alien: Isolation picked up three awards, and Dontnod Entertainment's Life is Strange grabbed two.

The awards are open not just to game and developers, but also companies that service the game industry with development tools and other products.

The awards were open to "the best creators and innovators in games development from the UK and Europe, as well as some of the global firms that are instrumental to producing the games that are made in these regions," according to the event organizers, and came from a list of more than 250 nominees.

The awards were revamped this year, with three categories open: Creativity, Tech & Services, and Studio.
